FABA (fly ash bottom ash) is waste from the coal combustion process at PLTU which has been determined not or no longer included in the list of B3 waste (Hazardous and Toxic Materials) in accordance with PP. 22 of 2021. Besides helping efforts to reduce the accumulation of new coal waste, this brick building material from FABA has several advantages including being stronger, can be shaped according to certain modules so as to speed up the installation process, and the cost or cost of producing bricks is relatively lower when compared to light brick (herbel). This innovation has been piloted in one of the sample houses built in the “Green Sakanti Ungaran” subsidized housing development project in Branjang Village, Semarang Regency.
